Early Dismissal Drill
The Afton Central School has scheduled its annual test of the early dismissal plan for Friday, October 21, 2016. Students will be released 15 minutes earlier than their normally scheduled time in order to test the early dismissal response of the District's Emergency Management Plan. Middle/high school will dismiss at 10:42 A.M. as this is also a ½ day parent teacher conference/staff development day.

Open House
Open House for the elementary and middle/high school is scheduled for Thursday evening, September 29, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  
Community School Program
An Afton Community School Program is being designed to provide programs and services for adults and families and to help children from PK - 12th grade be more successful in school. Surveys have been developed to help us determine the needs in our community. It does not imply that any, or all, services mentioned will be provided.  Please click on the "Read More" option and choose the appropriate survey.

School Board Recognition Week is October 24-28, 2016.
Please join the New York State School Boards Association in recognizing school board members’ commitment to ensuring all children have success in school.
 
 
School Committees
The Afton Central School District is looking for community members to serve on the following school committees:  Legislative/Policy, Buildings and Grounds, Budget, Transportation, Fundraising/Activities, Employee Relations/Hiring, Community Schools, Hall of Fame for Academics and Achievements, and Safety.  If you have an interest in serving, please contact the District Office at 607-639-8229.
