I was made aware that not all staff/students had the ability to download Microsoft Office 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook) from the Office 365 portal for installation onto personal devices. Any problems preventing this download have now been resolved.

Each account is entitled to multiple downloads of Microsoft Office 2016. The software is activated by your school-issued e-mail address and will expire upon leaving the school district. Please reference the following website for instructions on downloading Microsoft Office 2016 (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/4414eaaf-0478-48be-9c42-23adc4716658).

Note that the school district cannot provide technical support for personal devices.

BER is offering an online course, 24 hours of Professional Development (over 6 weeks) for $139. I learned about this new quiz/review creator http://www.quizizz.com/

It is similar to Kahoot – but questions can get up to 15 minutes to answer a question, students can work at their own pace, and a code can be given so that the quiz or review could be done independently (homework, absence make-up, etc.).   Stacey Gridley
